Green Planet Ambassadors is a team of  youths who are conservationist, climate activist and transformative leaders who have come together to combat and respond to the climate shocks and adverse effects of climate change in the area. It operates within the indigenous  pastoralist community of  Maasai that lives in the southern part of Kenya, Amboseli We educate about climate change to the community and schools ,restore and conserve the environment  and promote sustainable agriculture practices. We partner with the community, schools and school environmental clubs to champion for a green sustainable  planet.  

Green ​Planet Ambassadors does the following activities  within the community and the schools around the community;

1. Climate change education and sensitization to the community and the children in the community.
2. Planting trees and donating seedlings.
3. Construction and supervising the kitchen gardens in the community.
4. Enacting strategies for climate mitigation and adaptation to respond to the climate shocks among the community.
5. Partner with schools and schools environmental clubs to sensitized children about climate change and conservation.

We have planted over 5000 trees in the community and schools, constructed over 50 kitchen gardens  ,educated and sensitize the community about climate change and  partnered   with two schools environmental clubs: Esiteti Primary school and Enkongu Narok Primary school.

Our dreams is scale up the advocacy and training, increase the number of kitchen gardens to boost food security, plant and introduce fruit trees in the community and partner with more schools clubs. This all efforts to promote a sustainable community responsive to the climate change and a green planet.
